The 270 XT Awning Mk2 is a freestanding 270° 4WD awning designed to deliver generous shade and shelter with an incredibly fast setup. With a single-pivot design, the awning can be deployed by one person in under 30 seconds, giving you 8m² of wraparound coverage across the side and rear of your vehicle.

Built for touring, camping and off-road adventures, the 270 XT Awning Mk2 combines a rugged aluminium frame with durable ripstop polycotton canvas. With no poles required for normal use, it provides a practical camp setup without taking up valuable ground space.

Fast 30-second setup

When you arrive at camp, there is no need to spend time assembling poles or complicated supports. The single-pivot arm allows the 270 XT Awning Mk2 to swing out in one continuous movement.

Simply open the awning bag, deploy the arm and you have up to 8m² of shade ready to use. The freestanding design is particularly useful when setting up on uneven ground, rocky surfaces or sandy campsites where traditional awning poles can be inconvenient.

For additional security, the supplied guy ropes and pegs should be used to secure the rear non-trussed arm in all conditions.

8m² of 270° wraparound coverage

The 270 XT Awning Mk2 provides approximately 8m² of coverage, wrapping around the side and rear of your 4WD. This creates a comfortable sheltered area for relaxing, cooking, preparing gear or simply escaping the Australian sun.

Its compact design makes it a practical option for dual-cab utes, touring vehicles, canopy setups and shorter roof racks where a larger 270° awning may not be suitable.

Durable ripstop polycotton canvas

The awning uses 315gsm ripstop polycotton canvas designed for demanding outdoor conditions. The canvas is UV stabilised and treated to help resist water, mould and mildew.

A single-seam canopy construction helps minimise the number of stitched joins across the main awning area, while reinforced attachment points and triple-stitched sleeves provide additional durability at key load-bearing areas.

Before your first trip, the canvas should be thoroughly wet down to help condition and seal the stitching.

Strong B-Tech™ Alloy frame

The 270 XT Awning Mk2 features a B-Tech™ Alloy gusseted frame with stainless steel hinge components. The aluminium construction provides a strong yet relatively lightweight solution, with the awning weighing approximately 27.8kg before additional mounting hardware.

At 27.8kg, it is the lightest 270° awning in The Bush Company range, making it an attractive option for tourers who need to manage overall vehicle and roof load.

Designed for shorter roof racks

One of the key advantages of the 270 XT Awning Mk2 is its mounting flexibility. It requires a minimum of 1.4m between mounting points and comes supplied with two heavy-duty adjustable stainless steel L-brackets.

The packed awning measures approximately 2300mm long by 180mm wide, making it suitable for a range of 4WD touring and canopy configurations.

For additional mounting options, the awning can also be paired with compatible accessories such as an Awning To Tent bracket.

Add optional walls for extra shelter

The 270 XT Awning Mk2 features a 50mm triple-stitched Velcro strip along the inner edge, allowing compatible canvas and mesh wall kits to be added.

Use individual walls as a windbreak or create a more enclosed sheltered area when the weather changes. This modular design allows you to configure your awning according to the conditions and type of camping trip.
